All persons are invited to attend Temple Israel’s upcoming “Repro Shabbat.”  This service takes place annually when Jewish congregations read Parshat Mishpatim — the portion of the Torah containing verses used as the foundation of Judaism's approach to reproductive health, rights, and justice.  Following the service, there will be a panel discussion titled “Interfaith Perspectives on Reproductive Freedom.” Participants will learn what different faith traditions teach about reproductive freedom and women’s bodily autonomy and dignity, and how this relates to reproductive health care.  For more information on this event, please email advocacy@ncjwlongbeach.org or call (657) 235-2511.
